Horse Whispering Youth Program (HWYP), is an equine-assisted charity dedicated to supporting at-risk youth and families in South-eastern QLD.
Since 2011, our Charity has been making a positive impact on troubled youth and families in the Gold Coast, Logan, Scenic Rim, and Tweed regions.
Together with your support, we can continue our mission of positively transforming the lives of youth and families going through a tough time.

Meet the Team
At Horse Whispering Youth Program (HWYP), we are fortunate to have a dedicated team of professionals and experienced horse trainers who are passionate about supporting youth.
Together, our team is committed to creating a safe and transformative environment for youth, empowering them to overcome challenges and discover their full potential. With their diverse backgrounds and expertise, our team members bring a wealth of experience and dedication to HWYP’s mission.
We are grateful to have such a remarkable team of professionals who share a common goal of supporting youth and making a difference in their lives.
Allow us to introduce you to some of the key members of our team:
Glenys Woolcock – President
Glenys Woolcock has been an integral part of HWYP since its inception. With over 35 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, Glenys played a crucial role in registering HWYP as an incorporated not-for-profit organization in 2011.
Her expertise and dedication led to the successful endorsement of HWYP as a Deductible Gift Recipient Charity in 2012.
Glenys brings a wealth of knowledge in youth and family services governance and management.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology Major), a Master of Business Administration, a Reality Therapy Certification, and is an Associate Member of The Institute of Certified Management Accountants.
Belinda Ferris – Networks Director
Belinda has been involved with HWYP since 2010 and was elected to the Board of Management in July 2020.
With over 30 years of experience in youth support and a strong background in collaborating with the animal assistance sector, Belinda represents HWYP at Networks.
She is a member of Animal Therapies Limited, an organisation dedicated to advancing the understanding and accessibility of animal-assisted interventions.
Belinda holds certifications in assessment and workplace training, management in community services, and OHS&W training.
Dianne Loots – Fundraising Director
Dianne joined the Board of Management in July 2020, bringing her passion for education and horses.
With a background in mental health administration at QLD Health, Dianne is committed to making a difference in the lives of young people.
She is currently studying counselling and serves as a facilitator at our youth programs.
Dianne also has over 25 years of experience in administration, particularly in international creative industries.
Jan Creasey – Volunteer Administrator Extraordinaire
Jan joined the HWYP team in June 2022 and has brought her expertise in education and youth support.
With 34 years of experience as a School Administrator/PA Principal in secondary education, Jan deeply understands the needs of young people and provides them with the best possible support.
She is passionate about making a positive impact in the community and is an invaluable asset to the HWYP team.
Louise Churches – A great friend & PR Queen
Louise is one of those very rare people who can lead a horse to water, and it will drink. With 25 years of communications, public relations, copywriting, marketing and promotions experience, she knows her way around words and non-verbal messaging! She has developed and honed a skill-set of core competencies and her key professional capabilities centre around Public Relations, Media, Consumer Marketing, Promotions, as well as Internal and External Communications. Louise plays a pivotal role in our message and our favourite quote for 2024 “Unlocking the Future of the Horse-Cart : Empowering Change”. The Future of the Horsecart

Teena Woodall, an esteemed professional in the field of equine-assisted therapy, is an essential member of our team. Having recently joined forces with Joel Bobardt, the Head Group Facilitator at Connect & Thrive, Maudsland, their sessions will offer new depth and is more conveniently located to the GC.
Their extensive experience and passion for equine therapy makes Teena an invaluable asset to HWYP.

Tracey Gray
Hand in Hand Support

Tracey Gray, a highly skilled horse trainer and equine enthusiast, joined our team at the start of 2024 to serve the Logan and surrounding communities. Tracey provides invaluable support in facilitating our equine-assisted programs. Tracey has many years experience as a foster mum, during which she raised her own four sons and is still very active in the Logan horse community. Tracey is in her final year of studying a Masters in Gestalt Therapy, she is a qualified Equine Therapist and an independent support worker with several NDIS EAT clients.
